General Questions

Here are some answers to common questions we receive.  If you don't find the answers you need, please contact us below.

What are the different buildings on the church campus?
Mill Creek has four buildings on our campus:

1. Church office - Located in the building/house on the left as you enter our campus. This is where our administrative offices are throughout the week.

2. Kids Creek (Building A) - Straight ahead from the entrance. This building is dedicated to children Kindergarten through 5th grade.

3. Student Ministry and Fellowship Hall (Building B) - The red building to the left of the Kids Creek building. This building is dedicated for our students 6th-12th grade and is also used for fellowship gatherings and events.

4. Worship Center (Building C) - Located at the back of our campus. Follow the directional signs from the entrance to find it easily. The Worship Center hosts our Sunday morning services and includes The Brook nursery/preschool for ages 6 weeks through Pre-K.

You can see our church campus map here.
Where do my kids go?
On Sunday mornings, we offer safe and engaging environments for children of all ages:
  • Kids Creek (Kindergarten–5th Grade):
Drop off and pick up your elementary-aged kids in the Kids Creek Building (Building A) at the front of our campus.
  • The Brook Nursery & Preschool (6 Weeks–Pre-K):
Drop off and pick up your younger children inside the worship center (Building C) at the back of our campus.
Just follow the directional signs from the entrance — our team will help you find your way!
  • Middle & High School (6th–12th Grade):
Students join the rest of the church family in the sanctuary for worship and the sermon.
What should I wear?
You’re welcome at Mill Creek just as you are.

You’ll see some people in a coat and tie, others in jeans and a t-shirt, and plenty somewhere in between. We gather to worship the Lord and fellowship with one another, not to impress anyone with how we look.

What matters most to God isn’t your clothes — it’s the attitude of your heart.
How long are your services?
Our services are approximately one hour long.
What style of Worship will I experience in your worship service?
At Mill Creek, you’ll experience worship that is saturated with Scripture, focused on Jesus, and diverse in style.

Our goal is that everyone who joins us would leave with a renewed sense of awe and wonder at what Jesus has done for us.

At MCBC, there’s freedom to worship in the way that best expresses your heart — whether that means raising your hands, clapping, shouting, or being perfectly still.
We’ll leave that between you and God!
What time do I need to arrive?
We recommend arriving about 15 minutes before the service or event begins. That gives you time to park, grab a cup of coffee, chat with a few friendly faces, and find your seat — or, if you have children, to check them in — all without feeling rushed.
Do I have to be a member to attend your church?
No, you don’t. Every week we welcome visitors from all walks of life, along with many regular attenders who haven’t yet joined our church.

Make no mistake about it — we believe God’s plan is for every believer to belong and thrive as part of a local body of believers.

Whether you’re ready to take that next step or just “checking us out,” we’re here to walk with you and help you find where you fit.
Are you part of a denomination?
Yes, we are a part of the Southern Baptist Convention. This allows us to cooperate with other like-minded churches for missions impact and resourcing.

What’s distinct about our church here at Mill Creek?
We partner with the SBC because we believe Scripture teaches that:
  1. Baptism is for believers, and every follower of Christ should take this step of obedience.
  2. The local church is made up of saved believers who are members of Christ’s body and live in covenant with one another.
  3. The church is self-governed, led by the members and leaders God has called from within the congregation — not directed by any outside organization.
How do I become a member of your church?
Church membership is an important step in following Jesus and becoming part of a local body of believers.

If you have questions about Mill Creek or want to learn more about what membership means, we invite you to sign up for our next Membership Class.
