Should I Be Baptized?

Baptism isn’t required for salvation — but it is the first step of faith for every believer.
The baptismal waters don’t save anyone; Jesus does that.

Baptism is a beautiful picture of the work Jesus has already done in your heart. It illustrates Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3–4) and shows our new life in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Baptism doesn’t make you a believer — it shows that you already believe.
Think of it like a wedding ring: it doesn’t form the relationship, but it publicly signifies it.

We follow Jesus’ example in baptism. He was baptized (Mark 1:9), and He commanded us to baptize others (Matthew 28:19–20).

At Mill Creek, we baptize by immersion, following the example we see in Scripture. The very word baptize means to immerse or dip under the water — symbolizing being buried with Christ and raised to new life.

Ready to be baptized?

If you’re a believer, you should be baptized!

It doesn’t matter if you trusted Christ twenty years ago or just last week — now is the perfect time to take this next step in your faith journey.

At Mill Creek, we baptize on many Sundays throughout the year, and we would be honored to include you in our next service.
